Twinhead Theatre proudly presents Cakewalk on the Wild Side: The 4th Annual Cakesit! Yes, it's that time of year again. Time for fresh starts, new resolutions, and sitting in cake. This year, Twinhead and Eyedrum invite you to the craziest cakesit yet! Inspired by the baked-out world of soft-core porn, Russ Meyer, Andy Warhol, and Boogie Nights. Our hero, Cookie, an innocent fish out of water, moves from a small town to the big city, "Los Anglaise." Once there, she is drawn to the iconic artist Candy Warhol and his group of pastry artists who inhabit "The Bakery." It is here that Cookie accidentally invents the new art craze that everyone's a-buzz over, Cakesitting! But will Cookie's 15 minutes of fame go to her head? And what about her boyfriend from back home? Don't miss the wildest and wackiest Cakesit ever, "jam"-packed with music, dancing, and LOTS of frosting.

Price:  $10

Open Study is a collaboration between choreographer/dancer Diana Crum and composer/guitarist Chris Forsyth. Audience members and performers share the same space. The dancer dances, the musician plays and the viewers see. The individual roles are both acknowledged and used in the creation of meaning and questioning of assumptions. The work explores performance as a series of relationships.

Diana Crum, founder of Diana Crum and Dancers, is currently an M.F.A. candidate at Hollins University/A.D.F. Her work has been presented at DNA (Dance New Amsterdam), Dixon Place, Joe’s Pub, and Barnard College, among others. She holds a B.A. in Dance from Columbia University. www.dianacrumanddancers.org

Chris Forsyth’s music transcends many categories, from avant-rock to electro-acoustic experimentation to unclassifiable folk/noise/drone hybrids. He is an active collaborator across many media, and a founding member of the iconoclastic group Peeesseye, whose work has been manifested in 135 concerts around the globe and documented on 6 CDs since their formation in 2002.
