Gyan Riley & Shane Perlowin

An evening of visionary music featuring two of the top young guitarist/composers at the forefront of exploratory music of the new century. These two Tzadik recording artists team up for the first time for what promises to be an exhilarating tour.

Gyan Riley has garnered extraordinarily enthusiastic reception for his performances and recordings of guitar music. Amongst the varied settings in which he's been heard are ensembles led by his father, the legendary Terry Riley.

"Mind blowing chops. . ."
 Acoustic Guitar

"Hats off, gentlemen. A genius."
 Guitarra Magazine

Shane Perlowin

"Shane Perlowin showed us one facet of his musical universe during a spellbinding performance last year with his duo, the Ahleuchatistas. This performance promises to be equally fascinating, though totally distinct in character from that particular musical vortex. " -The Barking Legs Theater, Chattanooga TN

"Shane's impressive guitar playing seems to include the speed of Mick Barr, with the textures of Henry Kaiser or the bent notes of Fred Frith. " Downtown Music Gallery

"There’s noise and fire in their playing [Ahleuchatistas], but most of these tunes are also studded with signposts, demanding close attention and clear execution." New York Times
