Project Specific Artist Statement:
This project is about missing people. Their reflected repetitions give importance of awareness. Mysteries are within the lost, creating a deeper discovery.
In paths of print, a possible manhunt, murder mystery, targeted kidnap, or urban prime time crime is revealed. This process includes dumpster diving for discarded missing people's photos, cutting up and framing them with holographic tape and recycled computer parts. Holograms create aura energy that transcends time, bringing forward the vibrations of the lost. With schematic interfaces, a matrix of communication through media is strengthened. Transparent internal computer grid membranes layer together connected information. A collage of missing identities emerges.
Recycled patterns and materials mix up the media. Faces are hidden within coupon cutouts discarded in trash cans. This tragedy of silent society becomes an instance of ignoring the exploited. Reshaping our ritualistic nostalgia forms lasting connections.
