Elevate 2016 is slated to be in South Downtown, specifically South Broad & MLK between the Five Points & Garnett Station. The event is October 13th - 21st and your participation would be requested the week of and the main event (which we think will be Friday the 14th). We have a generic theme of gentrification, the pros and cons and implications of city growth and what Atlanta has gone through to get here, what it is experiencing now, and what could or should happen in the future.
It's going to be like a week-long CL Best of Atlanta Party, where we are asking the BEACONS organizations & neighborhood businesses to participate with their own version of programming. So, staying open is the first ask and if you wanted to program inside the space yourself, aaaaand if it could just-so-happen to be relevant to the theme, that'd be great!
There are evening and daytime activations - the opening night will be October 14th and it'd be great to have a lot of liveliness in the space (that could be visual art and/or performance). And if you wanted to hold one or many workshops or events (rooftop DJ's maybe curated by A3C) during week too.
