Spider + Octopus
To paraphrase a recent review at slowcoustic.com, Spider
[plus] Octopus offers a collection of pretty darn catchy lo-fi folk tunes with instruments ranging from ukulele to piano to accordion to solo acoustic guitar. They have a bit of everything for the true folk music enthusiast types – great music, an actual cohesive collection of songs, and a "fun to be with" audience.
Clark Vreeland is a very well loved and respected fixture in the New Orleans and Atlanta Arts and Music community. Born and raised in New Orleans, Clark began his musical life at the age of 12 showcasing his talents on television and local events on drums. By the time he was 15 he was playing the French Quarter strip bars and jazz clubs.
Now, in 2010, Clark is playing, loving and living with his wife Beth and working on the project "Spanky and the Love Handles" with drummer Bob Rice and trumpet master Sidney Cox. On rare special occasions fans of unique bluesy tunes can see Clark and Beth sharing the music that they love as a duet. "The Wonderful Wonderful Vreelands" invite you to join them to enjoy a special selections of the tight rich sounds and songs from two star-crossed music lovers.
